Area Sales Manager

Location: Europe or Turkey

Vilmorin-MKS is a Business Unit of Limagrain gathering the activities of Vilmorin (French Seed Company) and Mikado Kyowa Seed (Japanese Seed Company). As a global Seed Company, Vilmorin-MKS has strong basis over the 5 continents and offers a wide and original high-quality range to all the professionals of the vegetable chain. Vilmorin-MKS is specialized in the creation, production and marketing of vegetable and tree seeds and is entirely dedicated to agricultural professionals.

Content:

In order to support our continuous international growth, we are recruiting an AREA SALES MANAGER for Middle East countries, to ensure sales and development of Vilmorin and MKS products in this geographical area.

Reporting:

He or she will report to the MERCAT (Middle East, Russia, Central Asia, and Turkey) Unit Director.

Main Responsibilities:

  • In charge of the business in this area, he/she lead the partnership with the customers visiting them frequently.
  • Provide technical support and interact with Product Managers.
  • Support his/her customers in forecast and pricing issues. Follow their objectives achievement
  • Analyze competition and inform upper management of market conditions and needs, competitor’s new products & develop strategies, and pricing levels.
  • Establish the prices of his/her area within the parameters of the pricing policy established by the Unit Director
  • Establish the forecast sales volume, the value and the operating budget for his/her area.
  • Decides the distribution policy in his/her area, including in the choice of distributors, exclusive brand/variety, and broad range for products open for sale in his/her area.
  • Ensures the solvency of his/her customers. Establishes appropriate means of payment following Vilmorin-MKS rules and procedure. If past due difficulty of regulation, he/she coordinates the collection with Central Customer Service.
  • Manage the development and the promotion of new varieties with his/her team.
  • Monthly reporting of his/her geographical area’s activities and opportunities.

Profile:

With at least 5 years of experience in a similar position (working with Middle East countries is a plus). The candidate must have a Master degree in Agronomy or Agriculture, with a very deep knowledge of the vegetable seed market. Be technically competent to answer demands from customers. This person should be business oriented, diplomatic, with good possess negotiating and sale closing skills; and ready to travel frequently.

  • Languages: Fluent English is mandatory, Arabic is a plus.

Location:

The position can be based in Europe, or in Turkey.
