American Takii is seeking a qualified candidate to join our flower team as a Technical Sales/ Product Development Manager specializing in cut flowers.

Through this critical role the candidate will assist breeders and sales managers to successfully select and launch new products for the North American market place and provide key varietal & technical information to our grower and broker network.

The candidate will also travel to key areas to support and introduce new and existing products into the Latin American production region.

Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Organize and evaluate trials of pre-commercial and commercial varieties
• Present new and existing products to individuals and large groups 
• Assess needs of customers
• Attend seed and horticultural industry events 
• Manage cut flower producers in Central America and Mexico

Job requirements:

• Degree in Horticultural Science or Agricultural Management and/or minimum of 5 years’ experience in horticulture
• Fluent in Spanish, read and write
• Proficient with MS Office Suite and related software
• Knowledge of cut flower production and distribution chain
• Familiar with key growers and brokers in Central American and Mexico 

Based out of American Takii’s Main Office in Salinas, CA
