BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER (fulltime)
Stationed in Jakarta, Indonesia

JOB DESCRIPTION

Together with the area business manager, as business development manager you are responsible for the commercial developments of Bejo in Indonesia. You organize and lead meetings in different areas in Indonesia to discuss relevant developments in crops and varieties. The results will be used as input for the development of the global strategy regarding variety development and breeding, and will give direction to the (sales) strategy in Indonesia. Key responsibility in your position is to ensure that the crop priorities (crops, segments, regions, characteristics, etc.) are commercially developed and for that you collect and update relevant data (growing area, type of crop and variety, value, competitors). You provide Breeding, Seed Production and Research with relevant details and information about crops, specific cultivation conditions (new) disease risks, consumption patterns and other growth opportunities. Next to that, main priorities are active management of breeding trials and the further development of a technical and sales network together with the sole Bejo dealer Primasid in Indonesia. You ensure a well-organized and structured introduction of new varieties in the area. Further developing and coaching a network of (commercial) crop specialists of Primasid and technical support for the products that are marketed in the area is also your responsibility. You will set up all needed interaction with Indonesian government to support the Bejo developments in Indonesia. You will work in the organization of Primasid and you report directly to the area business manager of Bejo in Asia.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have a Bachelor or University Degree in Agriculture and knowledge of the food & agri business. As business development manager you have an entrepreneurial character and you are self-starting. You are reliable, responsible and organised and you are able to work independently. Furthermore, you have excellent command of written and spoken English and Bahasa and you have a good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
