We are seeking for December 1st, 2016 a Breeder (m/f) Trait Introgression Maize on a full time and permanent basis contract.

You will work in the maize molecular breeding team of KWS in Einbeck, Germany.

Your tasks:

• Plan and co-ordinate the introgression of traits into elite germplasm
• Plan and conduct field trials for the evaluation of new traits
• Statistical analysis and interpretation of results
• Optimize protocols for greenhouse cultivation of maize
• Implement new methods and technologies on research stations Worldwide

Your profile:

• Master degree or PHD in agronomy, plant breeding, animal breeding or biology
• Experience in practical plant breeding
• Knowledge of experimental designs, management of field trials, field breeding operations, and data analysis
• Basic knowledge in molecular biology
• Greenhouse experience is a plus
• Excellent team player and communicationskills
• Professional written and verbal communication in English, German is a plus
• Attendance for travelling
