Role purpose
- Develop strategies and provide leadership to maximize the lifetime profitability of products in the Seedcare Soybean portfolio, while ensuring all US Business Units receive strong brands that are well-designed, properly positioned and efficiently supplied for incorporation into customer offers.
- Develop launch plans and go to market strategies for two new Active Ingredients(AI’s) entering the portfolio in the near future.
Accountabilities
- Lead the development and implementation of product strategies for the Seedcare soybean portfolio, from acquisition and development, through post patent and exit. • Develops short and long term Seedcare marketing plans for soybeans, including product plans for all lead soybean products
- Direct and approve product developments, including new AI's, formulation, packaging, label enhancements, to insure maximum impact in crop solutions
- Manage contribution of products and product lines by driving maximum revenue, allocating fixed resources and managing product cost
- Establish brand pricing strategy and resulting market pricing, to optimize Syngenta value
- Deliver strong brand awareness and positioning. Engaging and directing advertising/promotion, while maintaining brand consistency across portfolio
- Responsible for certain third-party AI’s or brands in the portfolio in North America, ensuring consistency with brand strategy as part of overall seedcare outlicensing, private label strategy and post patent strategies.
- Working closely with the product planning team, manage product supply levels and establish/allocate safety stocks.
- Develops/maintain a competitor and market information database in line with respective guidelines.
Experience Required
- 5+ years Marketing and Sales experience
- Bachelor's Degree (Marketing/Business/Agriculture related disciplines)
- Experience with Marketing Elements: Product, Promotion, Place, Price, etc....
- Experience with US Agriculture (Marketing/Sales of Soybeans preferred)
- Successful track record of people/process and project management
