Job Responsibility:

Leadership and supervision of a research laboratory team staff focused on:

• Defining and implementing the appropriate DNA marker technology /strategy applied in Molecular Breeding (MAS, MABC, GWS) in agreement with Global Marker Breeder
• High throughput genotyping. Development of molecular markers. LIMS
• High throughput DNA extraction. Automated systems.
• Technology hunting: update on genotyping and sequencing platforms, gene hunting and candidate gene strategy.
• Defining and implementing the appropriate DNA marker technology /strategy for QTL and association mapping in agreement with Global Marker Breeder
• Interact with Public and University Research Groups working in Molecular Genetics applied to Plant Breeding

Qualifications:

PhD in Molecular Genetics oriented to Molecular Breeding, Mapping and Gene discovery with proven experience preferably in a seed company.
