Research Associate (m/f) GM-Development Maize

Location: Einbeck, Germany

We are seeking for November 1st, 2016 a Research Associate (m/f) GM-Development Maize on a full-time and permanent basis contract. You will work in the maize molecular breeding team of KWS in Einbeck, Germany.

Your tasks:

  • Plan and coordinate the introgression of traits into elite germplasm
  • Optimize protocols for greenhouse cultivation of maize
  • Implement stewardship measures for transgenic traits
  • Plan and conduct field trials for the evaluation of new traits
  • Implement new methods and technologies on research stations worldwide

Your profile:

  • Master degree or PHD in agronomy, plant breeding, animal breeding or biology
  • Knowledge in plant breeding and statistics
  • Basic knowledge in molecular biology
  • Greenhouse experience preferred
  • Experience in working with maize plants is a plus
  • Excellent team player and communication skills
  • Professional written and verbal communication in English, German is a plus
  • Attendance for travelling
