The Maize Breeding Technology Team is offering on the earliest availability a Trainee (m/f) position for Breeding Database Management on full time basis for a two years term contract. The position is located at KWS SAAT SE in Einbeck – Germany, Lower Saxony.

Your tasks:

• Becoming an expert user of our breeding database system
• Support and train users on our breeding database system
• Contribute to the development of the breeding database system and surrounding tools
• Implementation of reporting functions in the breeding database system
• Support the use of special breeding hardware like printers, seed counters and mobile devices
• Traveling to KWS breeding and research centers worldwide

Our trainee program offers young professionals:

• A 24-month trainee program with inserts in various working groups
• Participation in seminars for professional and personal development
• Networking with trainees
• Collaboration/observation in other groups

Your profile:

• BS/MS in agronomy, plant or animal breeding, other plant sciences or scientific information management
• Experiences in agricultural information management are a plus
• Interest in data processing and management
• Interest, experiences and knowledge of using database software (Access, Oracle)
• Excellent team player with the ability to work within an international breeding team
• Professional written and verbal communication in German and English
• Attendance to travel
