Job Summary:
Due to the sustained growth, international regulations and acquisition of a subsidiary, the Chief Financial Officer is seeking a Senior Accountant to develop, analyze, manage, process, and make formal recommendations for internal and external financial reporting and cash management. Perform detailed reviews and analysis of procedures and ensures that the administration and operation of financial control systems--include budgeting, general ledger, payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, travel and fixed asset management are safeguarded and controlled in compliance with established statutory requirements and regulations.
Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting
- Oversee and participate in accounting activities for the accurate and timely preparation and dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, monthly financial statement, annual budgets and audits.
- Prepare financial analysis of potential opportunities.
- Oversee accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, purchase orders, employee expense reports and cash control.
- Prepares financial reports for filing tax returns for both Crookham and its subsidiary.
Cash Management
- Purchase requisition and order approvals
- Invoices for Accounts Payable review and approval.
- Monitors annual and monthly cash forecasts and weekly cash balances.
- Manages the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Coordinates cash management process and related tracking with lenders.
Budgeting
- Prepares the annual operating budget and related financial analysis for review by the Board of Directors. This includes establishing budgeting processes, assisting and training department managers on providing required inputs.
- Ensures processes are in place to control costs in a manner consistent with the budget:
- Purchase requisition and order approval process,
- Actual versus budgeted spending analysis made visible to all departments,
- Reallocation of budget dollars between departments if priorities change.
- Develop Crop & Production Costing reports and forecasting techniques.
Compliance
- Develops and implements best practice policies and procedures to enhance fiscal management, oversight, transparency and accountability. • Maintains and establishes new or revised procedures and process controls.
- Monitors compliance and conduct monthly financial audits.
- Manages and maintains financial records for external and internal requirements.
Special Projects
- Participate in special projects as needed such as: o customer complaint research and financial related resolutions,
- insurance claims compilation of information for processing,
- development of process performance & product conformity metrics analysis, or
- facilitate Board of Director meetings and prepare minutes.
- Assist CFO as directed.
Education & Experience:
- Five or more years of successful business or controller experience.
- BS in Accounting/Business or equivalent and/or CPA is preferred.
- Advanced Proficiency in Excel and Word is required.
- Experience in multiple accounting software systems; IBM iSeries and QuickBooks experience preferred.
- Experience in championing change, building and sustaining relationships and exercising sound business judgment.

- Solid knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting.

- Ability to understand, apply and research appropriate rule, laws and policies relating to an accounting program
- Strong leadership, supervisory., and training skills.
- Ability to provide vision and direction to others.
