Plant Phenotyping Facilities Manager
Location: Lincoln, Nebraska, USA We are looking for an individual to manage the Plant Phenotyping facilities at UNL and ensure optimum performance of mechanical and imaging systems. This will also include management of large data set and assistance in experimental design with a range of customers from the University and outside groups. This individual will train faculty, students and staff and provide support to research projects. Serve as the contact person with the industry, Nebraska Innovation Campus management, and UNL Facilities Management and Planning to ensure successful operations. Maintain fiscal responsibility and ensure confidentiality of client projects.
Master’s degree in agricultural, life-science, or engineering, or related discipline is required. However, preference will be given to individuals holding a PhD degree with at least two years of research experience in life sciences. Engineering, computational and mechanical aptitude; life-science research and research protocol development; hyperspectral imaging; organizational, management, and financial skills are required. Research experience in an agricultural and/or greenhouse setting is desirable. Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential Experience in data collection and data management is strongly preferred.
