Location: Einbeck, Germany KWS is one of the most innovative and long established plant breeding and seed companies worldwide. Cereals Genomics Scientist (m/f)
You will work on a full-time basis in our Cereals biotechnology team in Einbeck, Germany. Initially we offer a three year fixed-term contract. Our strategic initiative have increased our genomics activities in cereals and at the same time the scientific bases for genome research in cereals has been well established as the genome sequences of wheat, barley and rye are available. If you have been studying (molecular) biology and have a strong interest in plant breeding, combined with scientific experience in a cereal crop as postdoc we would like you to consider this opportunity. The core activity will be translational research to bring the genome knowhow closer to the breeding and find new (trait) opportunities for our core cereal crops rye, wheat and barley.
Your responsibilities:

Your profile:
- A PhD in biology or related fields like molecular biology, genetics or genomics
- Sound knowledge in cereal genomics and in depth experience with genomics data analysis
- Knowledge of cereals breeding is preferred
- Excellent team player and strong communication skills
- Very good English language skills
- Flexibility to travel
