Research Associate, non-invasive plant phenotyping in field experiments

We are seeking for 1st October 2013 a
Research Associate (m/f) non-invasive plant phenotyping in field experiments
on a full time basis, initially for a three year fixed-term contract.
In the course of a three year research project you will work in the maize breeding team of KWS in Einbeck, Germany.
Your remit:
- The opportunity to work on the development and establishment of non-invasive phenotyping in plant breeding field experiments with maize
- To co-ordinate a phenotyping research project on maize, sugar beet, and cereals
- To support the technical development for field trial phenotyping tools using sensor technologies on different carrier systems
Your profile:
- PhD or MSc in agronomy, plant biology or related fields
- Background in plant physiology, developmental biology or plant breeding
- Knowledge of assessment and analysis of plant physiological and architectural properties using sensor technologies
- Experience in development, installation, and application of methods to quantify plant traits non-invasively in field experiments
- Excellent team player and communication skill
- Very good English language skills
- Attendance for travelling
