We are currently searching for a Seed Protection Strategic Market Manager to work with our team in the Minneapolis, MN, Sioux Falls, SD, or Fargo, ND area.
Description of Job
- Promote and lead sales of agricultural/chemical seed protection products and develop specific brand and marketing strategies for key products. Develop and manage business plans to optimize the company portfolio and product profitability to meet short and long range plan objectives. Provide technical services and advise on the use, properties, and modifications of products. Service accounts, diagnosing and solving customer problems, and act as liaison to crop sales representatives and sales managers for seed and seed protection business
- Lead sales in training and education in the seed protection business. Provide guidance to sales reps in a team leadership capacity (Northern Plains Sales Region – includes Dakotas/MT/MN/PNW).
- Develop brand strategies, product promotions and communication plans to deliver product line portfolio profit goals
- Act as the equipment expert and assist in continued training of crop protection reps and customers.
- Lead in development, maintenance and management of multi-level professional relationships with key personnel of designated Strategic Regional Companies and direct account management of Sugar beet Companies.
- Be accountable for all aspects of customer satisfaction within seed protection portfolios.
- Manage communications between Strategic Accounts and Valent to ensure timely and effective dissemination of key Strategic Account and Valent information.
- Partner closely with Sales and other Seed Protection Managers to ensure both teams are fully aware of all Key Account activity and business–impacting events.
- Cover multiple markets in large geographic territory.
- Interact at District or Divisional level with Distribution management to set and review both general and specific goals and responsibilities for the Seed Protection Business
- Provide Seed Protection market intelligence and advice to other Seed Protection Managers, Regional Sales Managers and other departments in Valent USA.
- Assist Seed and Crop FMD specialist in the coordination of key sales presentations and demonstration plots to showcase the value of Valent’s Seed Protection Business.
Experience: 5 years of seed protection experience.
Education: BA/BS, MBA or equivalent.
Other: Acceptable DMV report; Pest Control Advisor’s license if required by state; travel 50% - 60% of time.
