To further our business objectives, we have an opening and opportunity for a talented Technical Services Specialist who will lead and conduct Technical Services support and related research to leverage Ball’s expertise to provide best-practice solutions to grower customers and enhance the market use of Ball genetics. The successful Technical Services Specialist will collaborate with sales management of Ball Seed and Ball FloraPlant, along with other Technical Services team members to develop and execute effective Technical Services strategies.

The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D, or M.S. with significant professional experience, in Horticulture, Plant Science, Seed Technology, or related academic discipline —Ph.D degree preferred. Applicant must have demonstrated exceptional communication and ability to build and maintain positive business relationships with a wide variety of people and personalities. Analytical skills are required and the ability to work independently, as well as possessing a strong team orientation. Updated software skills to effectively gather, sort and analyze data and report findings as part of professional technical services performance are required.

Must be able to work effectively in greenhouse environments as well as in the office. Significant travel requirements averaging about 33% of work time, including weekends will be required.
