We are seeking to recruit at the earliest opportunity and on a full-time and permanent basis a Scientific Associate (m/f) in research management for the R&D Head.

Your remit:

• Support R&D planning and management processes: strategic planning, investment planning, budget planning
• Support coordination of KWS internal R&D steering committees
• Support KWS association work in research and breeding
• Support substantive and organisational positioning of KWS within the scope of national and international plant research funding programs
• Project management on selected topics
• Perform scientific research and analysis on new developments in plant research and breeding
• Coordinate and support KWS internal reporting on research and breeding topics
• Prepare reports and presentations on research and breeding topics

Your profile:

• University level qualification in biology or agricultural sciences, ideally with a doctorate
• In-depth knowledge of at least one of the following fields: plant breeding, molecular biology, genetics, physiology or biochemistry
• Independent work style and strong sense of responsibility
• Goal and result orientated way of doing business
• Ability to think strategically and holistically
• Interested in research politics and research management
• Very good communication skills and strong selfmotivation
• Very good command of written and spoken German and English
