We are seeking for the earliest opportunity a Wheat Breeder as Assistant Breeder (m/f) on a full time basis for our wheat breeding program in Germany. The position is located at the KWS LOCHOW breeding station Wetze near Northeim, Germany.

Your responsibilities:

• Responsibility for planning and execution of a wheat breeding program segment
• Scoring, collecting and analysis of breeding data including molecular data and their implementation in the breeding process
• Further conceptional development and improvement of breeding methods and breeding techniques
• Scientific support of research projects with external partners
• Collaboration in an international wheat breeding team

Your profile:

• University degree focusing on plant breeding, breeding methodology and quantitative genetics
• Knowledge in molecular genetics
• Practical experience in designing and analysing field trials
• Basic knowledge in agronomy and plant production
• Ability to work systematicly and with multidisciplinary teams
• Communication skills in German and English, both oral and written
