Technology Licensing Manager (m/f)
Job description
As a Technology Licensing Manager you collaborate with the Head of Emerging Research and Program leaders to seek for, evaluate and access new opportunities of external innovation enhancing the company’s ability to early on understand and capture new technologies and establish innovative and strategic research collaborations. You improve, expand and foster a network within the scientific communities in both business and academia and promote interaction with relevant institutes and companies. You are responsible for agreement negotiations on identified technology and collaborative research projects (incl. publicly funded research consortia) providing leadership and support to the multidisciplinary team and coordinating the required actions and intermediary evaluations. You manage the 3rd party collaboration contracts post signature, ensuring that all mutual obligations are met and future additional negotiations run smoothly. Furthermore you ensure full transparency in the third party spending and forecasting.
Your qualifications
The successful candidate holds a PhD in Life Sciences (plant biology, molecular biology, agro sciences). At least 3 years of relevant experience in Seed & Trait - Biotech are required. An MBA or advanced business training would be an additional asset. For this position strategic thinking, a good scientific network and the ability to overcome complexity is necessary. The candidate should possess strong negotiation and advanced communication skills, empathy, inter-cultural and leadership skills.
Required language skills: English fluently; Dutch, French or German is an additional asset.
