Regulated Trial Manager
Location: Shakopee, Minnesota, USA Summary:
This position has responsibility for the Betaseed/KWS Competence Center regulated trial activities in North America. The main emphasis of the position will be the coordination and management including the budget of regulated trials and regulated seed production in the USA. Responsibilities include all phases of seed/micro- propagation production and of the trial processes of regulated biotechnology crops in the USA. It includes all steps of trial preparation through trial termination working closely with the regulatory affairs group of Betaseed/KWS. The position is tightly connected with the research station group of Betaseed/KWS and technically reporting to the Head of R&D Breeding Stations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Coordination and management of field trials across regulated crops to ensure high quality data.
- Organization of regulated field trials in compliance with regulatory guidelines and standards and in compliance with quality management system.
- Creating and implementing protocols and standard operating procedures for regulated trial activities in collaboration with Betaseed Regulatory Affairs group.
- Regulated crop field selection in collaboration with the breeding stations.
- Budget development and management.
- Evaluation of new seed production areas for regulated crops.
- Other projects and duties as needed by the business.
- Work within an international team and ability to build strong professional relationships.
Qualifications:
- Master degree or equivalent experience in Agronomy/Plant Science.
- Experience of 3 to 5 years with regulated agricultural biotechnology products.
- Knowledge of regulatory systems for products of agricultural biotechnology in the USA.
- Excellent communication skills, written and oral.
- Proven independent ability to prepare succinct and clearly written technical and regulatory documents.
- Demonstrate successful organizational skills, time management skills and strong attention to details.
- Demonstrated ability to manage employees.
- Also discreet and confidential in handling assignments.
- Show proficiency with MS Office products.
- Ability to travel, local and international, per business needs.
