Documentation Coordinator

The Quality Management function in BPS plays a vital role in the Company's overall Stewardship program to ensure strict adherence to stewardship guidelines and full compliance with regulations governing development and commercialization of plant biotechnology products.
BASF Plant Science (BPS) is seeking to appoint a Documentation Coordinator for BPS' biotechnology products, who will be based in Research Triangle Park (RTP), NC, U.S.A. The Documentation Coordinator is specifically responsible for establishing and maintaining documentation standards for BPS Quality, Responsible Care and Stewardship programs. Objectives and activities of this position include the following:
- Define document hierarchy for Quality, Responsible Care and Stewardship documents
- Define globally mandatory standards on format and content for Quality, Responsible Care and Stewardship documents and records
- Define standards for documents and records repository (e.g. access rights, updating procedures, search functionality) and manage globally repository
- Providing training on creation of Quality, Responsible Care and Stewardship documents and records (focus on formats, version control, etc.)
- Execute documentation retention policies
- Drive adherence to planned revision schedule for all Quality, Responsible Care and Stewardship documents and records
- Proactively provide input to Continuous Improvement Management
- Close collaboration with IT helping to develop business requirements for managing, storing and cataloguing business data
QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Masters degree in Information Management or related discipline or life sciences with at least 5 years experience in life sciences or Biotechnology industry; OR Bachelors degree in Information Management or related discipline or life sciences with 8 years experience in life sciences or Biotechnology industry
- Experience with document management
- Ability to be a creative, motivated team player with an analytical mindset
- Demonstrated cross-functional interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to meet goals and to attain the desired results under time pressure and in a fast changing environment
- Ability to interact effectively across cultures
- Excellent written and verbal English
- Detail and accuracy oriented
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in a biological discipline, Regulatory Affairs or Quality Assurance
- Experience with Quality Management/Quality Assurance programs (e.g. ISO)
- Ability to understand, speak, and write in languages in addition to English
