This position would be located in Hyderabad, India.

Primary purpose of the Job would be to direct, develop and manage India QC functions (Emergence, Seed Health and Varietal Purity) in order to ensure the QC department is prepared and capable to conduct timely and verifiable test results while ensuring laboratories third party accreditation.

Applicant would also be responsible for the following

QC objectives

• Analyze and support the changes needed for the growth of the India QC activities. Advise management about the need of departmental resources in order to fulfill the regional Sales plan.
• Develop and maintain global and local internal and external communication networks in order to ensure that the QC activities are managed up to or above market standards.
• Management of cost awareness in QC and in searching for improvements and efficiencies in order to minimize test costs.

Techniques/Equipment & Procedures

• Direct and facilitate the techniques, equipment, processes, procedures, protocols and work instructions of the entity QC team, in order to ensure timeliness of decisions, communication within and across functional department lines to ensure that seed delivery requirements and quality standards are met.
• Ensure that process and procedures are implemented and maintained according the guidelines and global standards in order to maintain quality and consistency.

Contacts within seed industry

• Establish and maintain good contacts with seed technology companies, growers, institutes, laboratories and regional state agricultural organizations by frequent communication and visits, with special focus on accreditation institutes and organizations working on tests improvement.

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Seed Science, Horticulture or related field with ten plus years of cumulative experience in quality testing methods with minimum five years experience in a managerial capacity.
