Quantitative Geneticist / Breeder (m / f)
located in Emmeloord, the Netherlands.

Your responsibilities:

• Develop and implement new breeding strategies and selection methods in potato breeding
• Define and implement strategies using molecular markers
• Act as bridge between the breeding in the Netherlands and the research at the headquarters in Einbeck, Germany and in external projects
• Ensure optimal transfer of know how and technology in line with the research strategy of potato
• Manage contacts and research projects with external parties
• Support in general the potato research and breeding activities

Your qualifications are:

• M.Sc or Ph.D. degree in quantitative genetics or breeding with a strong focus on quantitative genetics or equivalent experience
• Good knowledge of molecular breeding
• Experience in potato is a plus
• Open minded
• Ability to work in an international team
• Flexible, target oriented
• Willingness to travel
• Fluent in English, basic level of Dutch and German is a plus
