Job Description:
The individual will be involved in the development of new varieties of roses through conventional means and through the use of of molecular markers. The individual will join NovaFlora's breeding team in West Grove, PA. The job will comprise both, laboratory, field and greenhouse work.
Education:
MS or Ph.D in Plant Breeding, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Horticulture or related fields. Experience in the use of molecular markers in woody plants is preferred.
Competencies:
Excellent communication skills are required. The individual will be expected to work closely with team members in Pennsylvania and California, and to travel several times a year to California for meetings, discussion and/or training.
Term:
This is a two year position funded by a federal grant.
