We are looking for a Quality Assurance Technician IV to join our Agricultural Solutions team in Parma,ID.

The Quality Control (QC) technician IV executes tests on samples of vegetable seed lots following accredited company protocols. This position is in the Emergence Lab Team performing germination and supportive tasks for other tests.  The team works together to provide accurate and reliable test results to ensure the satisfaction of our internal and external customers.

During your X-hour shift as a Quality Assurance Technician IV, you will

• Prepare, perform, and complete routine germination and physical purity quality control tests in a timely and accurate manner according to standardized protocols while maintaining a strong connection to the team and contributing to the lab’s output. 
• Receive training and effectively support training for new employees in specialized tasks and activities to help ensure all team members follow and understand accredited procedures and protocols for consistent test performance according to internal standards and external rules and regulations.  Practice and promote a safe working environment for all co-workers and contractors. 
• Ensure training and proficiency records, and other documents within the quality management system are accurate and current.  Participate in internal and external audits.
• Coordinate with team members and internal stakeholders to ensure timely performance of testing activities, seeking alignment of Emergence lab priorities, and a team approach to problem solving. 
• Identify areas for improvement, take ownership of tasks and consistently look for and follow up on new ideas.
• Operate all lab equipment daily to ensure all settings are correct.  Confirm all equipment is fit for use and maintained properly. 

If you...

• Possess minimum High School Diploma. Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in agricultural or biological sciences is preferred
• Have experience in fields like agriculture / horticulture / biology / farming or
• Have Between 6 months to 2 years of seed’s lab previous experience as a plus
• Being able  to learn and work in several technology platforms (SharePoint, Elements, Success Factors, Intranet, MS Outlook) and proficient in MS office applications including excel Highly motivated and able to learn and become proficient on all germination tests within one year and most physical purity tests within two years.
• Capable of learning and understanding the science and theory behind the method.
