WHERE IS THIS JOB LOCATED?

This is on ON-SITE position located in Wilton, California. 

COMPENSATION

$23.00 - $29.00 / hour, Non-Exempt, with a discretionary bonus of up to 10%.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Sensei Ag is seeking an R&D Technician to support the R&D Program Lead and team in conducting trials, including cultivar selection, recipe optimization, and pre-commercial testing. Responsibilities include irrigation, fertilization, crop maintenance, greenhouse setup and teardown, data collection, and harvesting, as well as assisting with the IPM program.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Actively participate in data collection by accurately recording key points of data as needed using electronic equipment.
• Monitor key plant and environmental variables to ensure success of trials.
• Participate in all growing activities to include pruning, pollinations, fertilizations, transplanting, harvesting, clean up and pest control activities.
• Assist in monitoring and calibrating control devices within the greenhouse.
• Ensure proper hygiene and safety protocols are followed at all times.

WHAT SKILLS DO I NEED TO APPLY?

• You have at least 2 years’ experience working in a greenhouse environment.
• Bachelor of Science degree in agriculture or a related discipline.
• Ability to accurately record data and work with database-type programs.
• Ability to work in an environment that can be hot and humid for extended periods of time.
• Must be detail oriented. 
• Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Have experience working in an R&D environment.
