Research Scientist, Molecular Characterization
Location: DuPont Knowledge Center, Hyderabad, India Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for working within an interactive group format to generate high quality and reproducible molecular characterization data on transgenic plants in support of a high throughput plant transgene event development pipeline.
Minimum Qualifications
Ph.D in Biology/Genetics/Biotechnology or related disciplines with a strong exposure and working background related to molecular analytical techniques commonly used in plant molecular biology or equivalent amounts of relevant education and experience.
Competencies and desired skills
- The ideal candidate will have post doctoral research experience in an academic or 3 to 5 yrs of industrial setting and extensive working knowledge of plant molecular biology and characterization methodologies.
- Exposure to working with crop plants will be an asset.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are strongly desired as are strong organizational and people managements skills, excellent record keeping ability, and a demonstrated history of delivering key results in a timely manner based on specified timelines.
- The ability to effectively communicate across cross functional multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams will be essential.
