Job Description

The Production & Supply Development Program (PSDP) is a rotation-based program providing opportunities that expose associates to diverse experiences, with a total program commitment within three calendar years, and a geographical move as required. Locations are at any of the Vegetable or Flowers sites within the United States – Pasco or Othello, WA; Nampa or Caldwell, ID; Woodland or Salinas, CA; Alva or Naples, FL

This position has a start date of July 2024.

Role Purpose

The focus of the program is to establish a pool of highly motivated and well-rounded talent within the organization.  As a PSDP Associate, you acquire business knowledge, skills and attributes required for placement into future positions within Syngenta. The learning and development will be at an accelerated pace with the expectation to perform at levels above your peers.

What will you be doing?

There are multiple options to gain exposure to various areas of Vegetables and Flowers business that will help you develop your career path in a way that meets your individual needs.  In addition to the individual technical knowledge gained, cross-functional leadership training, coaching and mentoring will be provided.

Your assignments will support various functions throughout the organization, including:

  • Seed Production (open field/cage/greenhouse)
  • Seed Processing
  • Seed Production Research
  • Seed Development
  • Parent Seed Characterization
  • Supply Operations
  • Quality Control
  • Commercial Operations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Business, Agricultural Systems Technology, Agricultural Engineering, Plant or Crop Science and other agriculture-related field
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Willingness to relocate as needed to pursue rotational opportunities
  • Prior Internship or Co-op experience
  • Valid driver’s license
