Job Description

Botanical Solution Inc. has an opening for an R&D Research Scientist – with expertise in Plant Molecular Geneticist to conduct R&D work in California. The selected candidate is expected to run a research program in the areas of Plant Breeding/Genetics, Molecular Biology and Bioinformatics. Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree from a reputable university in one of the above disciplines, proficiency in computation and strong communication skills. A priority will be given to candidates with experience in metabolomics/metabolic engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct high quality research involving NBT.
• Driven by goals of practical breeding.
• Execute research in an efficient manner to meet specific project milestones and deadlines.
• Manage a Molecular Biology/Biochemistry project.

Required Skills/Experience:

• Ph.D./ preferably after a Postdoc in Plant Genetics/Molecular Biology/Bioinformatics.
• Experience in molecular genomics, gene expression profiles, functional genomics, whole genome analysis, genome editing, phytochemistry and or analytical chemistry.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret scientific data, technical- protocols and government regulations.
• A priority will be given to candidates an ability to communicate in Spanish.
