By combining innovation in breeding and nitrogen fixation we create new opportunities for European farmers to help overcome Europe’s protein deficit and provide local sourcing options for the growing number of producers of meat and milk alternatives.

Why do we need you?

As of this year we enter commercial sales with our first-generation varieties and are keen to expand rapidly with the second and third generation products that are in registration. To support our commercial ambitions, we are looking for an experienced seed sales manager to lead and expand our Marketing and Sales activities, initially for soy seed varieties and in time also for our biologicals pipeline and other protein crops.

What do we need you to do?

  • You refine and continuously update our marketing strategy and look for opportunities to improve our go-to-market strategy to maximize value extraction of our products
  • You manage relations with our direct customers and are in charge of developing pricing plans and closing sales contracts
  • You coordinate with the agronomists the support for early adopters and opinion leaders to grow the use of our products in new growing areas
  • You develop sales prognosis and align the results with finance and production
  • Based on market feedback you help breeding to shape the product portfolio in line with the needs and opportunities.
  • You grow your team over time as needed and manage it to success.
  • As part of the leadership team you provide input to overall company strategy

What can you expect?

  • To be part of a dynamic, entrepreneurial team that combines a determination to achieve with fun
  • To have a job that has direct impact on the success of the company and the profitability and sustainability of our agriculture

What experience are we seeking?

  • You are educated as master in a relevant field and have at least 2 years of experience in the field of sales of agricultural products, preferentially seeds.
  • You have a good understanding of the agronomic market in N-Europe and growing crops in general and have a basic understanding of plant breeding,
  • You are proficient in English and have a good knowledge of French. German is a plus.

Which person fits our team?

  • You are efficient and effective in your approaches and dare to challenge the status-quo.
  • You are flexible: you have flexibility to travel to trial sites and customers in N-EU.
  • You get your energy from achieving something as a team and feel accountable for the team results as well as your own contributions
  • You communicate clearly, candidly, and respectfully
  • Purpose in your job matters to you and you see your values reflected in Protealis’ mission
  • You are customer oriented and get energized by customer satisfaction.
  • You feel great in a fun team and add to that spirit
  • We value people for who they are and expect that you do too. We embrace diversity regardless of age, gender, belief, origin or orientation.
