To support that challenge, the team is currently seeking a Marketing Intern in Greensboro, NC. You will spend up to 8 weeks working with and learning from the highest-performing team in the industry, working on projects with direct benefit to our customers and the Syngenta business and learning about all facets of marketing from product management to market research to advertising and promotion. This is a uniquely valuable opportunity for a motivated rising junior or senior with a background in Agriculture, Marketing or Business to gain invaluable insight and experience while earning competitive wages and learning about how Syngenta markets its products and services to retailers and farmers.

You will:
- Contribute to marketing initiatives and tactics for the US crop protection business
- Learn the fundamentals of product marketing
- Learn how to apply market research and other sources of data to achieve business objectives
- Develop skills and experience to further your career
- Own and advance specific projects, while also being exposed to all the functional areas that contribute to effective marketing (e.g., price, product, place and promotion)
What you must have:
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited NC HBCU in Business, Marketing, Communications, Agriculture, or other closely related field of study
- Sophomore or Junior class standing
- Developed specialized skills, or a breadth of skills, through job-related training, on-the-job experience, and course work
What you might also contribute to the team:
- A demonstrated passion for agriculture and food production is a definite asset
- Knowledge of marketing processes, data insights & analytics, agronomics, general cropping practices, agricultural technology and trends and requirements for controlling disease, weeds and insects
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong interpersonal skills as well as competency in PowerPoint and Excel
- Ability to lead, be self-directed and to work as part of a team
