ABOUT THE ROLE:

This role is and exciting opportunity to help build a food system in harmony with nature. It is an essential role needed to build the marketing function inside an incredibly exciting start up looking to disrupt the way farmers pollinate their crop and take care of the biodiversity on their farms.

The Assistant marketing manager will help build the marketing function and execute Beeflow’s global brand strategy. Their duties will include implementation and coordination of marketing programs & campaigns and events to promote business and services, supporting the design and build of a marketing department, relaying information between key stakeholders, executing communications plans and working cross functionally with our research, sales, operations, and finance colleagues.

This position will be hybrid location of work from home with a large minority of time spent meeting teammates locally in the Ventura & Los Angeles County area as business needs dictate. This position will also require up to 20% travel.

Requirements

The job requirements include, but are not limited to the following:

• Marketing: Ability to assist with coordination and contribute to marketing activities such as advertising, social media, design direction, brief development, brand guideline management, etc.
• Event Coordination: Ability to plan and execute events of varying sizes and purposes. Must be able to organize logistics, keep track of budget and oversee smooth production of the entire event, including ensuring goals for the event are met, managing relationships with vendors and venues, creating contingency plans and solving problems as they arise, communicating to stakeholders about the event and creating and following processes needed.
• Project Coordinator: Ability to organize and enable large cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders, complex inputs, and time sensitive deadlines; effectively balance workload by prioritizing and multitasking. Demonstrates a sense of urgency to drive impact.
• Agency Coordination: Day to day tracking of project management with agency account teams will be a large part of this role.
• Strategic Thinking: Assist with the development of brand and communication strategy, considering customer, category, and market trends. Able to contribute to strategic, data-driven recommendations.
• Budget Coordination: Track and reconcile budget for department and recommend actions to balance budget as needed.
• Marketing Tech Stack Oversight: Ensure that marketing technologies and applications are run smoothly and maintained for growth. Evaluate and deploy new tools as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Minimum of 2 years of marketing experience
• Fluent in Spanish and English preferred
• Experience in agriculture categories is a strong plus
• Strong attention to detail
• Positive attitude regarding interpersonal communication and teamwork
• Previous experience working on cross-functional teams
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, fast-changing environment
• Proven, reliable work history
