Desired qualification:

• Ph.D. in Plant Breeding and Genetics with 5-8 years of relevant research experience or M.Sc. (Ag) in Plant breeding and Genetics with 8-10 years of experience in seed industry or public institution.
• Passion for research and sound knowledge of crop breeding in pulses with demonstrated contribution in developing outstanding products.
• Need to be self motivated, a team player with good interpersonal skills and communication ability.
• Good knowledge of agricultural production systems.

Job Profile:

• Planning and developing the strategy for pulses breeding and identification of marketable products.
• Execution of the research programmes and development of new genetic material by using advanced breeding technologies and biotechnological tools.
• Collection, evaluation, characterization, maintenance and documentation of germplasm.
• Co-ordination of all the activities related to maintenance and multiplication of stock seeds to meet the targets and goals of the Company with high quality seeds consistently and timely.
• Evaluation of breeding experiments and its analysis to draw inferences.
• Development and implementation of new ideas and breeding techniques.
