India Research Trialing Manager
Location: India Advanta India Limited, a leading seed company in India with Global foot prints committed to sustainable agriculture through innovative research and technology. We require India Research Trialing Manager.
KEY DELIVERABLES:

Develop & implement Crop Trialing systems for Field Crops enabling the generation of a sufficient number of high quality data points, allowing the best experimental products from research trials to be advanced to the PD level of testing.

|
Develop Trialing systems along with the expertise provided by the Research Statistician & Experimental Breeding Team, including instilling an environment where breeders routinely consult with the Statistician prior to designing an experiment.
|
|
3
|
Develop communication plans with the appropriate PD personnel enabling a timely flow of information for experimental products being advanced within the research Trialing systems, including data displays & research field tours for the appropriate PD Teams.
|
|
4
|
Create an environment within the Trialing Team where members understand the role they play in delivering high quality products to Advanta customers and feel empowered to suggest ideas fostering an environment of continual improvement.
|
|
5
|
Create an expectation within the commercial team that the integrity and quality of the data delivered by the Trialing Team is accurate and believable.
|
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

|
Reliably deliver sufficient high quality data, enabling the PD teams to have a high degree of confidence in the experimental products advanced to the PD trial level.
|
|
2
|
Train the members of the Trialing team enabling them to collect needed data in a timely and consistent manner per developed protocols.
|
|
3
|
Identify build and maximize synergies within the Research Trialing team and existing Advanta PD Team.
|
|
4
|
Schedule and conduct field days, displaying key experimental products potentially meeting the needs of the Commercial organization.
|
|
5
|
Participate in Product Advancement meetings to gain insight to future product needs.
|
|
6
|
Evaluate the performance of Experimental pipeline products, using appropriate Competitive products and current Advanta standards, enabling Genetic Gain to be measured.
|
|
7
|
Based on Experimental product performance, suggest new hybrid combinations, new breeding populations and new testers to Breeders.
|
|
8
|
Work with Production Research Team, ensuring credible statistical & scientific procedures are followed in production research projects.
|
|
9
|
Ensure that COGS are appropriate for new experimental products, coordinate with Supply Chain team.
|
|
10
|
Provide technical and product support information to the PD Team.
|
|
11
|
Maintain crop and market intelligence.
|
|
12
|
Maintain effective information networks.
|

BACKGROUND/ QUALIFICATION:
- Masters in Plant Breeding & Genetics, Agronomy or related field, PhD preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience in seed industry, 10 preferred.
