About Us:

Since 1999 Magic Seed has been breeding the best in unique snow and snap peas for the Fresh Pick and Processor markets. We specialize in unique genetics to produce snap peas and Snow peas with color, flavor, and vegetative qualities for markets around the world. We were started by Dr. Calvin Lamborn, the father of the Snap Pea, and continue as a family-owned seed company to this day. Located in the Magic Valley of Idaho we produce high-quality seed crops in the small to medium range- from 1 foot up to 100 acres.

We are looking for a motivated individual with seed industry experience who is interested in growing with our company.

What you bring:

You are a dynamic person who takes initiative and adapts quickly.  You promote and follow farm safety. You have a strong agriculture background, and the desire to grow in the seed Industry. You have strong planning and organization skills. You can work independently, but you are also able to work with other individuals and small groups.

• Required
  • 3+ years of agricultural experience including tractor work
  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Work according to seasonal demands.
  • A thorough understanding of English, both verbal and written.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Pesticide application license preferred or will need to obtain within 90 days of hire.
  • Able to operate and calibrate farm equipment, tractors, setup cultivators, irrigation systems and sprayers.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

  • The ability to speak and understand some Spanish is highly desired.   
  • Some knowledge of processes in small plot and greenhouse seed production.
  • Work includes simple administrative tasks.
  • Bachelors or Associates in Agriculture related field.
