About Us
 
Through leading innovations, we help farmers around the world meet the challenge of feeding a growing population and taking care of our planet. In this role, the Territory Sales Representative will build strong customer relationships and generate awareness and demand for the Syngenta CP portfolio within assigned geography.  
 
This position is ideally based near the town of St-Hyacinthe, QC covering the Monteregie area.
 
Accountabilities
  • Analyze market trends to identify data-driven growth opportunities
  • Complete product forecasting requirements
  • Achieve annual sales target for, crop protection and seedcare
  • Develop and implement local field marketing plan
  • Utilize discovery skills to understand retailer and grower needs
  • Develop retailer business plans that integrates offer to the grower
  • Deliver and reconcile programs or segmented offers to retailers
  • Ability to effectively communicate the value of product portfolio and services
  • Train and develop retailers to effectively position product to growers
  • Create awareness of technology (demonstration trials, capture experiences)

Qualifications
 
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or Science and/or a Business Communication
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in the Ag industry; experience in the commercial and/or research sides of business an asset
  • Candidate must be member of the Quebec Order of Agrologists (OAQ)
  • Broad technical knowledge of the company portfolio, competitive products, as well as current and emerging agricultural practices and trends in the seed and crop protection industries.
  • Strong strategic influencing and negotiation skills
  • Understanding of financial analysis and general business issues and practices.
  • Knowledge of commercial and product strategies.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license in good standing.
  • Overnight travel requirements 10-15%
  • Must be fully bilingual (English/French)
