We invite you to help us shape the future of agriculture. At Syngenta, we believe every employee has a role to play in safely feeding the world and taking care of our planet. To support that challenge, we are currently seeking a Trial Coordinator in Gilroy, CA.
You will help shape the future of agriculture by coordinating and organizing internal and external trials within North America to support the commercial business and the new product launch process (e.g., Y trials, external technical trials, trade events, public demonstrations, PLT, etc.).
Accountabilities
- Management of lists, ordering, and scheduling for commercial trials and marketing events as requested by the various requestors
- Communicate closely with requestors on planning, execution, and status of trials, shortages, scheduling, etc.
- Maintain frequent, regular communication with all external trial sites in NA to determine necessary trial ship dates, entry lists, trialing costs and other needs
- Ensure NDAs are created and executed with each external trial partner
- Monitor expenses for offsite trials and submit invoices to the Technical Manager to ensure expenses are allocated to the correct budget
- Create and maintain a yearly master trial list for all commercial trials in NA and communicate to everyone who should be informed
- Communicate closely with Customer Service for ordering plant materials
- Coordinate ordering of competitor plant material
- Support Y-trials by organizing variety evaluation data received from Technical Representatives and external trial partners. Share results with Product Managers, Technical Services, Trialing, and Breeding Teams
- Visit external trial locations as needed to meet with trial coordinators, collect trial data, organize trials, etc.
- Utilize IS tools (e.g., Smartsheet, EZCapture, MS Teams, etc.) to maintain trial lists and data collected from trials
- Collaborate with R&D Trial Coordinator, space planner, and growers to assign growing locations and schedules for Gilroy-based Marketing trials and events
- Participate in the planning of Marketing Special events
- Ensure all HSES and phytosanitary protocols are implemented, followed, and enforced
Qualifications
Requirements
- B.S. or B.A. degree preferred or High School diploma with at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience in greenhouse operations, live-good production, or horticulture preferred
- Experience in data management and administrative support function
- Experience in project management
- 20% travel requirement, depending on time of the year
- Must be authorized to work for Syngenta in the United States without work authorization sponsorship
