Plant Breeding Intern, Syngenta Cucurbits Breeding Program

We are looking for a highly motivated individual for four months (July to September) with Syngenta cucurbits breeding programs based in Woodland, CA.
Education:
BS or MS candidates in plant biology, plant breeding, horticulture, genetics, agronomy or related field.
Duties:
- Support the breeding team in the evaluation of new experimental hybrids and new inbred lines
- Perform data collection in nurseries and field.
- Perform sowing, transplant, plant maintenance, pollinations, phenotypic data collection, harvest and seed inventory
- Organize and execute molecular marker sampling activity
- Curate breeding database for data accuracy and integrity
