At Syngenta, we are working to build the most collaborative and trusted team in agriculture that provides leading seeds and crop protection innovations to enhance the prosperity of farmers. We are currently seeking a Marketing Communications Lead in our Gilroy, CA location for our Flowers Business.
You will enhance the prosperity of farmers by:
- The primary purpose of this role is to drive and support the business by effectively developing and implementing marketing strategies and execution of campaigns for Syngenta Flowers
Accountabilities
- Lead / assist, produce and distribute end-to-end creation of marketing materials including, but not limited to advertising, editorials, tradeshows, digital marketing projects and technical collateral
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency of content and branding across all deliverables, as they translate to print, digital, social media channels, video, tradeshows and events, retail and merchandising, and future platforms (i.e.: eCommerce)
- Partner with product managers and key stakeholders to set priorities, specifications, and gather project needs in accordance with campaign goals and deliverables
- Follow protocols for routing materials for review and approval by legal and all stakeholders
- Manage projects and timelines to ensure completion according to campaign and budget guidelines
- Ensure the Syngenta Flowers and its brands are presented effectively and consistently with global standards across all customer touch points and marketing channels
- Manage photography assets for regional websites, catalogs, and customer marketing projects
- Manage and create budgets for social media campaigns, industry trade media, and other traditional marketing channels
- Develop and manage relationships while leading projects with third-party vendors and agencies
- Build relationships with key stakeholders across the Syngenta organization
Qualifications
Requirements
- At a minimum, a BA/BS degree and at least two years of experience in marketing communications. Knowledge of the horticulture / agriculture industry is an asset. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
- Graphic design and current graphic design software experience is essential
- Writing, copy editing and adherence to industry writing guidelines
- Marketing, communications, and related experience
- Track record of coordinating multiple activities and deadlines
- Strong working knowledge of website management and digital marketing platforms
- Ability to execute and implement multiple projects requiring long- and short-term planning and organization
- Proven ability to build strong relationships in a diverse and inclusive environment
- Change management
- Budget planning and tracking skills
