Manager (m/f/d) Seed Production Sugar Beet

Location: Einbeck, Germany

For KWS SAAT SE & Co. KGaA we are looking for a Seed Production Manager (m/f/d) for the coordination of production programs for sugar beet as soon as possible. You will be responsible for seed multiplication of specific sugar beet programs and the development of production technology in field production. In addition, you will take over the management of a team onsite and coordinate international project groups. The work location is Einbeck, but this position requires mobility to support the international production areas. The position is permanent and full-time.

Your tasks – challenge meets responsibility:

  • Managing seed multiplication of CONVISO® SMART varieties and other specific sugar beet programs
  • Leading a team at Einbeck and coordination of international project groups
  • Supervising of production programs (planning, implementation and monitoring of harvest results)
  • Responsibility for the development of production technology in international seed production areas
  • Continuous process optimization and implementation of quality assurance measures

Your profile – competence meets personality:

  • Degree in agricultural or a comparable course of study; several years of professional experience, preferably in the seed area
  • Very good level of agricultural / plant production know-how
  • Enthusiasm for projects in an international working environment, open-mindedness for innovations
  • Strong communication skills and high competence to lead teams in different countries
  • Good IT skills in Microsoft applications
  • Very good English and German language skills (oral and written); French is a plus
  • Willingness to travel (approx. 25%) on an international level
