About Us

We are currently seeking a Broker Account Manager in the Continental United States for our Flowers Business. Our primary location states Gilroy, CA but this role does not require a specific location and will be 100% field based.
The Broker Account Manager is a member of the Syngenta Flowers sales team and is tasked to drive profitable and sustainable sales growth at assigned accounts.
You will enhance the prosperity of farmers by:
- Serving as the primary point of contact for assigned broker accounts
- Working with assigned brokers to determine plans and strategies for sales growth
- Traveling to grower-customer sites with broker sales reps as needed
- Coordinating product knowledge training for broker sales-reps in collaboration with Product and Technical teams
Accountabilities
- Develop sales plans, forecasts, and budgets to deliver wholesale channel sales at assigned accounts
- Coordinate product knowledge training for broker sales staff
- Document customer needs and develop tactics to turn conversion opportunities into sales
- Track sales performance at each assigned account to identify risks and opportunities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, and manage all customer related issues
- Participate in relevant trial events throughout the year whether industry-wide or specific to individual growers
Qualifications
- Education: academic level in Horticulture and/or Business or equivalent in experience
- Sales acumen & key account management with commercial/ customer orientation
- Understanding of the NA flowers business, value chain, competitor dynamics, customers and key growers
- Horticulture product knowledge
- Excellent planning and organizational skills, with strong written/verbal communication and negotiating skills
- Must be authorized to work for Syngenta in the United States without work authorization sponsorship
