The Indirect Procurement team is responsible for sourcing all goods and services that enable Syngenta to maintain and develop operations. These goods and services are divided into categories that include: R&D Consumables and Services, Marketing, Travel, IT, Facilities Management, Legal Services and Capital, among others. In Indirect Procurement, we work closely with our functional stakeholders combining in-depth supply market knowledge, supplier relationship management and innovative strategies to deliver benefits to Syngenta.

Qualifications
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Working closely with Indirect Procurement team, the chosen candidates will gain experience utilizing strategic Procurement methodologies and world-class eProcurement tools
- Work on data analysis initiatives and opportunities to improve the effectiveness of strategic sourcing activities
- Daily networking and learning opportunities with a broad exposure to stakeholders who work with Procurement
- Utilize survey and empirical data to refine stakeholder requirements
- Own an Indirect Procurement initiative and present project results at Intern Poster Show in August
Education & Experience:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent
- Applicants must be actively pursuing a degree from a 4 year accredited university (Business majors preferred)
- Fluent in English
- All applicants must be eligible to work in the US
- Additional Knowledge, Skills, Traits & Abilities:
- Communication- The ability to communicate information well (both written and spoken) is highly desired in this position
- Adaptable- The ability to work well with ambiguous/undefined problems
- Inquisitive- Not afraid to ask bold questions and be curious
- The candidate needs to be proficient in Microsoft Office™ software, including MS Excel™, MS Word™ and PowerPoint™
