We are seeking to recruit at the earliest opportunity an Agronomist / Agricultural Scientist (m/f/d) on a fulltime basis for a 2 years limited contract. You will be part of our team of sugarbeet experts at the International AgroService in the Business Unit Sugarbeet of KWS SAAT SE & Co. KGaA in Einbeck/Lower Saxony, Germany. International AgroService Team takes responsibility for the scientific coordination of KWS agronomic consulting in Sugarbeet and contributes agronomic expertise to research and development projects.

KWS breeding develops innovative and highly yielding varieties. Bring in your agronomic and scientific expertise to:

  • advance the KWS cultivation strategies for innovative sugarbeet varieties and weed control systems
  • shape management concepts including digital tools for highly resistant varieties
  • develop convincing concepts for resistance management, stewardship and digitalization
  • transfer agronomic contents from science into practice staying in close contact to our local markets
  • support our international sugarbeet experts on crop production questions

Your profile:

  • University level agricultural science (M.Sc. or equivalent, Ph.D.) in plant production.
  • Excellent practical expertise in crop production especially in sugarbeet cultivation plus agricultural business management skills.
  • Experienced in weed and disease control in arable crops, with affinity for digital tools.
  • Creative/inventive personality with good communication skills, open minded and target oriented.
  • Professional written and verbal English; language skills in German or French are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel internationally.
