Description

Grow what's next. Grow your future. Corteva Agriscience is seeking an Integrated Field Sciences Intern to participate in a 3-month internship! Corteva sponsors a variety of internships in agricultural research across many field research centers in North America. These research centers house trait development, crop protection and plant breeding research activities. Sharing resources across research groups facilitates more efficient integrated product development. As an Integrated Field Science Intern at a research center you will have the opportunity to obtain diverse experiences across these functions responsible for integrated product development.
 
We have intern opportunities in Billings, Montana and Meridian, Idaho. Position duration is May to August 2020.
 
Responsibilities – WHAT YOU’LL DO: 

You will work as part of a team in field plot management, and precision phenotyping tasks associated with trait development, crop protection, digital ag and plant breeding projects. You may also assist other IFS Field Scientists located in the geographic region, but not stationed at the research center. You will also manage your own research project with the expectation of a verbal report to the larger intern group at Corteva facilities in Johnston, IA.
 
Intern positions provide excellent experience that can be applied to full time positions in the industry, or in preparation for additional graduate level training in the plant sciences.

Qualifications – WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • Current sophomore or junior standing at an accredited university
  • Education focus in Agronomy, Plant Physiology, Plant Pathology, Genetics, Biology or a related field
  • Agricultural background beneficial
  • Minimum GPA requirement of 3.0
  • Must be enrolled at an accredited university at the time of internship
