Working in intrexon's Agricultural Biotechnology Division, the Laboratory Technician, Plantlet Production works under the supervision of the Production Manager and is responsible for the precise execution of the high through-put protocol for intrexon's Botticelli™ Plantlet Production.

Description:DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follow laboratory procedures in strict compliance with approved protocols.
- Meet through-put production metrics for the quantity and quality of the plantlets.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe lab space.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Reliable and dependable attendance is an essential function of the position.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma preferred.
- Experience in plant tissue culture preferred.
DESIRED KEY COMPETENCIES:
- Ability to handle a fast-paced, high through-put environment.
- Demonstrate excellent hand/eye coordination.
- Ability to see color.
- Ability to sit for long periods of time.
- Oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrate the highest ethical standards, trustworthiness and has a high degree of personal responsibility.

Laboratory
- Frequent: Sitting; speaking; hearing; use of hands/fingers; handling or feeling objects, tools or controls; close vision; color vision; peripheral vision; ability to adjust focus.
- Occasional: Standing; walking indoors; reaching with hands and arms; stooping; kneeling; crouching; lifting and/ or move up to 30lbs.
- General: Moderate to high noise level, similar to continuous humming of a motor and/or fan.
