We are seeking a professional like you to determine and manage global crop risk through definition of assessment of quality factors, testing parameters and processing activities.

Qualifications
BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent
Formula for Success:
- Develop and Maintain QA/ Processing Matrix
- Determine crop risk factors
- Ensure QA Standards and Processing procedures reflect the seed quality expected by the customer
- Review and update matrix continuously through direct contact with M&S and the customer
- Manage global crop risk factors
- Limit crop complaints and claims
- Analyze crop complaints for trends and common problems and determine root cause and corrective actions needed to strengthen protocols
- Lead and steer crop 4 Health Teams that ensure seed health tests and hygiene measures are appropriate to manage risk
- Maintain a close, cooperative and collaborative relationship with OTEC Seed Health Scientists and Global Hygiene Manager
- Define and steer QA and Processing global crop strategy and tactical plans
- Ensure a close cooperation and collaboration with crop QAS and Processing Manager
- Participate in QA and Processing LT Meetings
- Seek and identify "fat pockets" through bottom-up analysis of QA and Processing activities
- Define and support Capacity Center and Center of Excellence for crop
- Participate in OPE Crop Teams for global crops
- Responsibility for P&L of crop concerning Processing and QA activities
- Monitor, Analyze and Follow-up on monthly crop KPIs
- Determine, prioritize and steer crop OTEC projects within crop budget
- Bachelor of Science in Seed Science, Horticulture or related field
- Five + years of QC/QA vegetable seed industry knowledge; with a minimum of five years in an international company preferably in a matrix structure
- Understanding of seed physiology, pathology, seed conditioning, enhancement, treatment and production
- Knowledge, experience and understanding of quality control tests
- Good understanding of global vegetable seed and commercial vegetable markets
- Ability to effectively communicate and interact with a diverse range of personalities (fluent in English) Experienced lead person on projects
- Cooperative, flexible and willing to work in a team atmosphere
- Multi-cultural focus
- Ability to build up global networks
- Strategic leadership abilities and experience
- Should possess the following competencies: Leadership, management, organizing, analyzing, strategy development, challenging, research/scientific and market oriented
- International travel required (25 - 35%)
