As the Global Marketing and Finance Lead, you will provide finance expertise and advice to the Global Seeds Marketing team and work closely with the Global Marketing Trait Licensing group.  In this role you will provide financial analysis to drive improved decision making, development of business cases in support of strategic decisions, agreements and collaborations that are being considered and ensuring the business understands the financial impacts.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Engage in Global Marketing strategy and aid in assessing opportunities that will further Syngenta’s strategic goals in this dynamic market
• Support with business and financial case preparation for acquisitions, collaborations and licensing agreements
• Work with commercial colleagues to create breakthrough strategies and plans, and to project the effect of how potential ideas may play out in the marketplace
• Work with finance and commercial team members to develop budgets, forecasts and scenario planning.  This includes research, calculations, analysis and presentation development
• Actively work with Global Licensing around agreements and collaborations that may be entered into and highlighting the global financial impacts that may occur to our core business
• Support in the development and implementation of Marketing and Licensing strategies
• Provide financial analysis, insights and constructive dialogue to support decision making
• Support the preparation of financial business and financial cases for senior management

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required
• MBA, CPA or CMA preferred
• A minimum of 10 years of Finance experience in a Commercial Environment required
• Seeds industry experience is a plus
• Strong financial analysis experience with a demonstrated ability to improve financial performance
• Strong systems and personal computing skills (SAP, Excel, Power-Point, Access) and ability to provide management with analytical tools when needed
