Vilmorin-Mikado is a Business Unit of Limagrain gathering the activities of Vilmorin (French seed company) and Mikado Kyowa Seed (Japanese seed company). Vilmorin-Mikado is specialized in the creation, production and marketing of vegetable and tree seeds. Entirely dedicated to agricultural professionals, the company has more 1000 employees worldwide. 

The position will provide the company with new varieties in the target market segments by implementing appropriate genetic resources and methodologies. Overall the goal is to create new successful varieties of Spinach hybrids with improvement compared to the main varieties currently on the market and to find innovative products/crops to grow market share and turnover, all over the world in accordance with business strategy.

A position as farm manager is open at the seed company Advanseed ApS in Odense S (Danemark).

Main Responsibilities :

• Daily management of workforce and planning of work.
• Administration and contact and cooperation with farmers, seed companies and local authorities.
• Danish contact and relay for Seed production and Supply departments of the company
• Practical work in field with all aspects of farming.
• Practical work on seeds
• Responsibility for machinery and vehicles.

Profile :

• Experience with farming and farm machines is important
• Good English in speak and writing
• Relevant education as for instance farmer or farm technician. 
• It is necessary to have a license to drive a truck/lorry or willingness to acquire this license.
