Northland Seed & Grain Corporation announces introduction of identity preserved, non-GM soy lecithing and refined soy oil
St. Paul, Minnesota
June, 2000

Northland Seed & Grain Corporation is proud to announce the introduction of its premium-quality, Identity Preserved, non-GM soy lecithin and refined soy oil. Northland has been working on the development of these products for some time because they have been difficult, if not impossible, for customers to source.

Northland Seed & Grain Corporation is now able to produce non-GM fluid soy lecithin, non-GM deoiled (powder and granular) lecithin, non-GM soy salad oil and non-GM hydrogenated soy oil. To produce verifiably non-GM soy lecithin and oil requires very rigorous quality control and Identity Preservation. Northland tests the seed stock planted, contracts with qualified farmers whose equipment and storage facilities must be inspected and approved, tests the soybeans during growth and harvest, transports and stores the beans in IP trucks, rail cars, shipping containers and bins, and processes the beans in IP cleaning, crushing, and refining facilities. PCR tests are run at various stages of production.

Northland's non-GM lecithins and oils will be third-party verified non-GMO. These products will be Process Vertified as well as Product Vertified which is essential when dealing with refined products.
