a producer of corn,
soybeans, wheat and alfalfa seeds operating in 15 states
throughout the midwest and east coast, introduced a new seed
protection system. Hubner Max Seed Protectants” provides a
system of protection that’s effectiveness is evident throughout
the entire growing season.
The system, which uses a combination of fungicides and
insecticides has proven to provide a healthier root system,
increased stand, better uniformity, improved vigor, improved
uptake and consistently produces higher yields.
“We’ve been pleased with the field trial performances of the
Hubner Max Seed Protectant,” said Bob Hubner, Hubner Seed
president. “It provides seed with a systemic protection against
a broad range of soil and seed borne diseases.”
Hubner Max Seed Protectants combines Protégé’, Allegiance’ and a
polymer coating to protect soybeans from Rhizoctonia, Pythium
and other soil and seed borne diseases. Hubner Max Seed
Protectants are also compatible with Gaucho’ 480 Insecticide,
which protects plants from soybean aphids for 60-65 days and
reduces bean pod mottle virus.
In corn, Hubner Max Seed Protectants combines Maxim’, Allegiance
and Trilex‘ for additional disease protection. This seed
treatment is available in Poncho’ 250 or Poncho’ 1250. When used
in conjunction with Poncho, it provides protection against black
cutworms, wireworms, white grubs, seedcorn maggots, grape
colaspis, flea beetles, chinch bugs and other early season
pests.
“This is our exclusive and premier seed
treatment,” Hubner said. “It’s been proven to improve your
yields.”
