AgrEvo's Canadian and North
American headquarters is in Regina, Sask. The company's crop protection production
facility in Regina formulates crop protection products that are sold throughout North
America. AgrEvo is supported by a Canada-wide service and supply network consisting of 29
sales representatives. InterAg, AgrEvo's distribution arm, serves the needs of independent
crop protection retailers exclusively.
Research into new crop protection technologies is based at AgrEvo's research and
development farm near Indian Head, Saskatchewan. Other permanent research farms are
located in Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Ontario.
Plant biotechnology is a major component of AgrEvo's research program. Their
research is carried out at AgrEvo's Saskatoon facility, in cooperation with the Plant
Biotechnology Institute and other industry players. The focus is on using the tools of
biotechnology to develop and create plant varieties with superior performance attributes,
such as herbicide resistance.
A key focus for research, production and marketing is AgrEvo's line of hybrid
canolas. These are produced at the company's hybrid seed production facility in
Lethbridge, Alberta, and marketed under the brand name InVigor. All AgrEvo canolas are
part of the Liberty Link production system. |
